July Finish: Pineapple Punch
It’s the last weekend of July, which means I can celebrate two things: my son’s birthday and a finished quilt. Woohoo!
Two weeks ago I delivered my Pineapple Punch quilt to Nancy at Grace and Peace Quilting and requested the Verve design. When I saw Nancy’s completed stitching, I was wowed! And tonight I attached the matching green binding and snapped a few photos.
I chose a plain white backing so that the green stitching would shine. Isn’t it wonderful?!
The pattern is the free Fat Quarter Snowballs from the Fat Quarter Shop.
I also delivered quilts and baby caps to Jack’s Basket this month, so I completed my One Monthly Goal. Another woohoo! (Writing down a goal and sharing it on my blog is very motivating for me, so thanks for keeping me on task.)
Camp Oda May
I’ve also been sewing along on my Choose Your Own Adventure Quilt with my fellow campers and counselors from the Moda Bake Shop. I have the first three weeks done and next stop is Arrowhead Lake.
August One Monthly Goal
During August I plan to make two pillow covers with fabric leftover from the Pineapple Punch quilt. There are a lot of cute pineapple patterns available and, with the help of my neighbor and fellow pineapple lover, I settled on Elizabeth Hartman’s Pineapple Farm pattern.
Thank you, Patty, at Elm Street Quilts for helping me set one monthly goal for August!
Joyfully,
Tracie
P.S. I’m also linking up with Sarah at Confessions of a Fabric Addict.
