Friday Finish: Diamond Trail Table Runner

I’d like to share a pretty summer Diamond Trail table runner I made with a Mackinac Island charm pack. I think it’ll be just the right touch for a summer tablescape or picnic table topper.

If you’d like to make a Diamond Trail table runner for yourself, the pattern is on sale this weekend at Taunja’s Carried Away Quilting Etsy shop. Check out all her cute table runners, pillows, and quilts! Pumpkin Sky and Starry Way are up next for more “instant gratification” sewing. (I love starting and finishing a project quickly.)

Navy thread emphasized the diamond design of the runner.

The backing is navy grunge with a few extra charm squares. By piecing the back, I was able to use what I had in my stash for backing and binding.

I’ll be sewing more this weekend because we have extreme heat and humidity in the Twin Cities. Stay cool and tell me what you’re making!

I’m linking up with Sarah’s Whoop Whoop Friday and Sandra’s DrEAMi post – drop everything and make it! If you need some quilty inspiration, it’s always fun to see what people are sharing.

Joyfully,

Tracie
