Sewing Organization: Mini Maker Case
Today I made a Mini Maker Case to store my turquoise mini project iron. I used the free pattern by Lillyella Stitchery. The pattern also includes tips and videos from the sew-along last fall.
Fabrics are Pop by Rashida Coleman-Hale and Rainbow Hexy Rainbow by Tula Pink.
I used the same fabrics in my Sew Together Bag. I’m using almost every inch of the Pop fabric. It’s one of my favorites and no longer available.
The mini iron is handy for pressing seams as I construct a quilt block, and it’ll be perfect for sewing with my young nieces and nephews. It’s lightweight and easy to control. Plus, it’s just so cute with my other aqua sewing notions!
The bag came together relatively easily with clear instructions.
There’s a Mini Maker Bag Facebook group, and based on recommendations from members, I used Soft and Stable rather than fusible fleece. I also finished the seams with a multiple-zigzag stitch rather than concealing it with a bias binding.
Joyfully,
Tracie
