Moda Fabric and Supplies is hosting another weekly quilt along with thirteen of their designers: Block Heads Round 2. Would you like to join in? Every Wednesday morning one of the designers will post a pattern for one quilt block from June 6 through March 2019. If you construct a block each week, you’ll be able to create the final 72″ by 78″ quilt top next spring.

I decided to pull out my Fig Tree and Company fabric stash for this quilt. Sooner than later, I want to use my favorite fabrics rather than keep them locked up in my vault of happiness. When the new Fig Tree and Company fabrics arrive this fall, I’ll probably buy a charm pack to mix in with my current lot.

This is my version of the first block, Stellar Star. When I joined the Block Heads Facebook group, I was amazed by all the beautiful renditions of this block! I think a lot of people jumped on the bandwagon when they saw how great this block looks, whether you use solids, reproduction prints, or something very modern.
